Weekly Reads: May 7th

Hello lovely bookworms! I decided I wanted to start a new feature here on my blog where on Mondays I highlight what my reading plans are for the week. I know there are lots of other blogs that do that out here and I think it’s a wonderful way to help keep me accountable. So here goes!

This week I’m planning to read…

Last week I started reading NEEDFUL THINGS by Stephen King for a read along hosted by the lovely Janel. We had our first chat on Sunday and it left we ready to launch back in! I started reading OUR KIND OF CRUELTY over the weekend and have plans to finish it tonight. This book has been getting a lot of mixed reviews on social media, but so far I’m putting myself in the “enjoying it” camp. I’m hoping to have my full review available tomorrow, just in time for publication day.

Next on the agenda is THE WAY OF BEAUTY. I used to be a huge fan of historical fiction, but then I think I over did it and fell off the bandwagon. I’m looking forward to starting this one which features turn-of-the-century New York. Finally, I’m hoping to start reading YOU. I realize you’re probably sitting there shaking your head at my lack of already having read this book…yes, my Amazon cart feels the same way about me! I was lucky enough to find out a group of amazing people on #bookstagram are hosting a buddy read this month and it was just the kick I needed to dust the cover off. I would have started already, but the themes in this one are a little too similar to OUR KIND OF CRUELTY, so I’ve been waiting to get that wrapped up first.

What are you reading this week? Have you read any of these titles?
