Weekly Reads: June 18th

How is it already Monday again? I swear the weekend flipped from Friday to Sunday night in two seconds!

This week I’m planning to read…

img_8082Another Monday in June means another monstrous tower of books to chat about! I’ve finally hit the halfway point in 11/22/63 and I’m loving it! I really feel like this is such a different narrative style from King compared to the other books I’ve read by him this year. It reminds me a lot of Joyland in that it focuses on one character versus a group of characters or a town. I’m excited to see where the storyline goes and how things will heat up as the book gets closer to the main event!

On the agenda this week is a new audiobook with an old favorite. That’s right, I’m talking about Louise Penny and going back to Three Pines with THE LONG WAY HOME. I actually started this one on my commute in this morning and I’m really curious how things are going to play out with the changes in Gamache’s life. If you haven’t tried out this series, it’s one I highly recommend, but please start with book one! I’m still debating if I start SINNER or THE WIDOW OF WALL STREET when I get home tonight.

I stayed up finishing up THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW last night, and I’m just not sure where I want to take my next read. I’m not in a slump, but I also haven’t figured out what reading mood I’m in either. Does this happen to you?

What are you reading this week? Have you read any of these titles?
