I’ve been slowly knocking a few titles off of my November TBR, but that all happened over the weekend, so I still haven’t had a chance to work on reviews. I’ll definitely be getting them to you all this week, so stay tuned for reviews on: INHUMAN RESOURCES, GOOD SAMARITANS, and THEN SHE WAS GONE.
This week I’m planning to read…
I’ve got a rather steep list of books planned to be featured in my reading this week, but I’m actually only predicting finishing two. Why is that, you might be wondering…well it’s simple…not enough time! I’m actually about an hour away from finishing THEN SHE WAS GONE, which was my audiobook last week and since I didn’t work today, it won’t be finished until tomorrow on my commute. Next up will be CIRCE, which is another backlist Book of the Month title I need to cross off of my list. I love that this is outside of my usual reading genre. I actually used to be very into Greek history and mythology, so the premise for this one is making me interested in picking that back up. I hear there are a lot of characters in this book, so hopefully I don’t have any issues keeping up with who’s who on the audiobook version.
This week will be the final read along check point for DOCTOR SLEEP. I am loving this book! In case you don’t know, this is the sequel to THE SHINING, but it really shines all on its own, while paying a lovely tribute to it’s roots. This is not a copycat of the original, but an entirely unique and fascinating story.
Tonight I’m planning to get into my new read, SNOWBLIND. You may remember me raving over THE DARKNESS, which is the start to a new series from Ragnar Jonasson. I actually bought the entire Dark Iceland series some months ago and never got around to starting. Reading and loving THE DARKNESS gave me the push I needed to dive into this one.
Speaking of series reads that I’ve been meaning to do…you guessed it…I’m back with another Jo Nesbo read! COCKROACHES is book two of Nesbo’s Harry Hole series. I am so happy I decided to dedicate reading one book from this series a month. I adored THE BAT last month and I can’t wait to see what adventure I’ll go on with Harry this time and what crime Nesbo has thought up for him to solve.
What are you reading this week? Have you read any of these titles?
