Weekly Reads: December 24th

Merry Christmas Eve! Today has been a jam-packed one and it’s nowhere near over yet! I still have a bazillion Christmas presents to wrap, so I’ll keep this post brief!

img_9358I am lucky enough to have the rest of the year off of work, but even with that much free time, I want to be realistic with how much reading I’ll likely get done. So, this week I’m keeping my TBR rather light.

I actually forgot to include THE REDBREAST in my picture because it was still upstairs on my nightstand. I have about 80 pages left to go and will hopefully finish up tomorrow morning over a cup of coffee.

Then I’ll be on to THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. I am quite possibly one of the last people out there to read this book, which is only mildly embarrassing! I don’t really have a solid excuse for not reading this book or the series other than I was in school at the time of it’s main hype and I was reading more for classes at the time than pleasure.

Throughout the week I’m hoping to squeeze in all the ghost stories from THE VALLANCOURT BOOK OF VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS GHOST STORIES – VOLUME TWO. This is my third book from the December Night Worms package and I’ve been seeing positive reviews, so I’m really looking forward to adding it into my reading this week.

Lastly, but potential the book I’m most excited for is WRAITH! This is the graphic novel that correlates to Joe Hill’s NOS4A2. I absolutely loved this book last holiday season and I can’t wait to learn more about what made Charlie Manx who his became. You can check out my review for NOS4A2 here.

What are you reading this week? Have you read any of these titles?

  1. I finally got my mom to read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. She had previously tried three times to read it, but couldn’t get beyond the first 100 pages. Over her last break from school she committed to finishing it and was obsessed. She flew through the entire trilogy.
