The last week of February is finally upon us, which means it’s time to cram as many last minute reads in as possible! I’m extremely proud of the amount of books I believe I’ll be finishing before the month is out, but now I have the undertaking of getting you all reviews!
I am currently in the midst of reading/listening to 3 of books shown. I started reading DEAD IN WINTER (book without name on the side) over the weekend after being inspired by so recent snowy weather. I love Kealan Patrick Burke’s writing and what he can make come to life in a small number of pages. This short story collection is delightful and I have loved everything I have read so far! With only 2 stories left, I’ll be sharing a review soon!
I also started reading RABID HEART, which came in my February Night Worms box. This is all about a zombie apocalypse and has a fun campy-vibe to it. I should be wrapping up my read either tonight or tomorrow.
Last week I also started listening to FOR BETTER OR WORSE. Thanks to a snowday and a pre-planned day off, I haven’t made the progress I was expecting and have some listening to do! My initial thoughts are that this has been a slow story to get off the ground, but I’m hopeful for some action soon. I shared about this book on my Instagram the other day and got some middle of the road reactions to those who have read this one.
Once I wrap my current reads up, I plan to sneak in my final Night Worms read, IN THE RIVER, to close out February. I have had my eye on this book for quite a while and was thrilled to see it was included in the box. I definitely have the feeling that I have saved the best read for last!
Once I breeze through my remaining February titles, I’m picking up my first March new release, THE STRANGER DIARIES. This book is a Gothic crime fiction story and is calling my name big time.
