The last full week of March is upon us, which of course means I am scheming how to squeeze in a few more reads this month.
There’s something so appealing about kicking off a fresh week with a stack of new reads. I owe you all reviews for MY LOVELY WIFE and THE LOST MAN, which I finished this weekend. Keep an eye out for those in the next few days!
This morning I launched the audiobook for THE BREAKDOWN. I loved BEHIND CLOSED DOORS by B.A. Paris and I’ve collected all of her other books, but haven’t read them. I’m trying to make a dent in my backlist, while balancing the need to read all of the new releases with the help of audiobooks. I likely will end up doing a listen/read combo with this book, which has been something I’ve started doing and enjoying recently.
I’m planning to pick up THE NIGHTMARE GIRL after work, which is the second book that came in my March Night Worms package. I made the decision to DNF the first book, WILL HAUNT YOU last week after falling out of love with the book after 80 pages. Since I didn’t finish reading that book, I won’t be giving it a full review.
I’ve got OVERKILL in this stack as well, but I’m not sure I’ll actually finish it in March. This is the first book in the Sam Shepherd series by Vanda Symon. The second installment is about to release in paperback next month. After seeing tons of glowing reviews last year, I can’t wait to see what all the hype is about!
