Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019

TTT-NEW

This week’s installment of Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl) is all about most anticipated releases for the second half of 2019! You can check out my most anticipated list for the first half of 2019 here!

There are always a million books I want to read, but really nothing catches my eye like all the gorgeous upcoming lists of releases! So without further ado, let’s talk about what I can’t wait to pick up soon!

Lock Every Door
Amazon | Book Depository

1. LOCK EVERY DOOR by Riley Sager {07.02.2019; Dutton}: I am obsessed with Riley Sager and his previous two releases, FINAL GIRLS and THE LAST TIME I LIED. Both have been 5 star reads for me and I can’t wait to see what he has come up with this time around!

The Institute
Amazon | Book Depository

2. THE INSTITUTE by Stephen King {09.10.2019; Scribner}: I have been making my way through my King journey with a lot of focus on his older titles. That’s changing in the later half of 2019 and one of those on my list is this beauty! This book is being marketed as a mixture of IT and FIRESTARTER, both of which I loved. What’s not to want with this book?

The Turn of the Key
Amazon | Book Depository

3. THE TURN OF THE KEY by Ruth Ware {08.06.2019; Gallery/Scout Press}: Ruth Ware is easily one of my favorite writers and even though I haven’t made my way through the rest of her titles yet, I’m thrilled about her newest book!

The Whisper Man
Amazon | Book Depository

4. THE WHISPER MAN by Alex North {08.20.2019; Celadon Books}: I can’t even begin to tell you how long I have been fangirling over this book! I haven’t read it yet, but I already know it’s going to be perfect for me!

The Passengers
Amazon | Book Depository

5. THE PASSENGERS by John Marrs {08.27.2019; Berkley Books}: Last year I fell in love with John Marrs’ THE ONE, which was brought to my attention by this amazing blogging community. This year I’m all about his latest release, THE PASSENGERS, which has been getting widespread praise in the UK, where it has already been released.

The Chestnut Man
Amazon | Book Depository

6. THE CHESTNUT MAN by Soren Sveistrup {09.03.2019; Harper}: This book is another example of UK book bloggers drawing my attention to new books! I have a love/hate with books that release earlier in certain places, but thank goodness for Book Depository!

The Furies
Amazon | Book Depository

7. THE FURIES by Katie Lowe {10.08.2019; St. Martin’s Press}: I love when crime fiction books take place in academic settings. This one features a group of girls who are obsessed with the occult, which leads to a disappearance. Sign. Me. Up!

The Swallows
Amazon | Book Depository

8. THE SWALLOWS by Lisa Lutz {08.13.2019; Ballantine Books}: What’s that? Another academic-based crime fiction story? I told you I can’t get enough!

A Cosmology of Monsters
Amazon | Book Depository

9. A COSMOLOGY OF MONSTERS by Shaun Hamill {09.17.2019; Pantheon Books}: Monsters in both the metaphorical and all-too-real sense…get on my TBR!

Girls Like Us
Amazon | Book Depository

10. GIRLS LIKE US by Cristina Alger {07.02.2019; Putnam}: I adored Alger’s THE BANKER’S WIFE last year and can’t wait to see what she’s come up with in this FBI thriller!

One Little Secret
Amazon | Book Depository

11. ONE LITTLE SECRET by Cate Holahan {07.09.2019; Crooked Lane Books}: Cate Holahan blew me away with LIES SHE TOLD. This time she’s back with a locked room mystery, which is one of my favorite writing styles for crime fiction. I can’t wait to get started!

  1. Ooh, I didn’t know Stephen King had another book coming out! I read through a bunch of his older books years ago, but I feel like, since then, I’ve just sort of lagged behind. I really want to read The Outsider still, and I suppose I’ll have to check out this new one. A Cosmology of Monsters sounds really good, too!

    Here’s my TTT post.
