I’ve been trying to catch up with reviews this week and completely forgot to share my weekly TBR yesterday!
This week I kicked things off with BURIED, which is the second installment in Ellison Cooper’s Special Agent Sayer Altair series. In case you missed it, you can catch my thoughts on the fantastic first installment, CAGED, here! I really love Cooper’s writing and this series is certainly one that I’m eager for more of! I finished this one last night and will try to share my raving review tomorrow!
This week marked the start of my audiobook listen for LAYOVER, which is David Bell’s latest release. So far I’ve read two of David’s previous books, one of which I really liked (SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER) and one that was just okay for me (SOMEBODY I USED TO KNOW). Right now LAYOVER is interesting, but a bit over the top. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for stretching believeability, but sometimes it just doesn’t work.
Tonight I’m planning to start THE TWO LILA BENNETTS, which has been getting some excellent reviews on bookstagram lately, so I can’t wait to see what it’s all about! I’ll also be mixing in some pages from THE PUPPET SHOW, which is the July book pick for Instagram’s Criminally Good Book Club. I have seen some amazing reviews for this book around the blogging community and it’s the start of a series, which means there’s the potential to keep loving an amazing series!
