April was a weird reading month for me. It took me days to finish books that I would normally breeze through. I think being back in the office more and just not completely loving some of the drama associated with that put a bit of a damper on my reading. I also got a Peloton for myself for my birthday, so I’ve been coming home and riding instead of just picking up a book. Before I was reading while on my older exercise bike, but obviously that’s not a thing now. I’ll figure it out one day!
I had a few duds in April with THE TOMMYKNOCKERS and THE SIREN AND THE SPECTER just being okay reads for me. I expected more out of both of them. On the upside I fell head over heels in love with FIREKEEPER’S DAUGHTER and had my heart crushed (in a good way) by BETTY!
Not mentioned on my list is the fact that I also read a chunk out of A STORM OF SWORDS this month. I’m loving carrying on my journey with George R.R. Martin!
For May I’m planning on more audiobooks with my commute now being 4 days a week and tackling a stack of ARCs I’ve let get out of control! I’m waiting for a few books to arrive still, but I’ll be sharing my TMR stack soon!
Cheers to May reading!
