I have no idea how August snuck up so quickly, but I really don’t mind because it means all things pumpkin are starting to hit shelves! I’m so ready for Fall and Halloween and chunky sweaters!
Before I get too far ahead of myself, I need to read all the summer horror possible. I had an entirely different TMR planned for August and last minute I decided it wasn’t the vibe I was going for. I thought I wanted lighter reads this summer, but turns out I’m just up to my old shenanigans and want to be thoroughly creeped out by everything I read.
Clearly by the height of this stack, I couldn’t make any solid decisions, so I threw all the things into it and now I’m going to play the game of mood reading through it! The only solid, must reads are my buddy reads for this month: BAG OF BONES, THE TWELVE, FANTASTICLAND, and THE HAUNTING OF LEIGH HARKER. I’m proud to say I’ve already cracked the spines on the first two buddy reads and also have PARADISE CLUB and THE GUILT TRIP (audio) in my currently reading stack.
