Rating: 3/5 stars
Everyone knows the beloved television reporter Lily Atwood. She has fame, fortune, Emmys, an adorable seven-year-old daughter, and the hashtag her loving fans created #PerfectLily. What they don’t know is that she has a life-changing secret. Her own anonymous source who feeds her tips seems to have stumbled upon this secret. How do they know the truth? Afraid that her world may crumble around her, Lily is forced to risk it all to protect herself and those she loves.
HER PERFECT LIFE is a fun and twisty story surrounding a seemingly perfect journalist. I love these types of stories and watching how authors choose to unravel the secrets of their “perfect” characters. Ryan merges together alternating narratives and alternating timelines to bring together not only the dirty laundry Lily is hiding, but her quest to save herself. HER PERFECT LIFE is definitely a story that begs the reader to suspend reality a bit in order to believe some of the more over-the-top situations that play out. Ultimately, it’s a fun read to get lost in and perfect for someone looking for a lighter thriller.
🎧: I loved the narrator and felt that she managed to perfectly embody all of the different narrators while bringing the story to life!
