I still can’t believe that 2021 is over and we’re 3 days into January. Pretty sure I live in denial at the beginning of every year. This December I actually wasn’t pushing to read just one more book before the year end. I finished my last novella on the 30th and then started 2 reads for 2022. I want to take that mindset with me throughout the year. I put a lot of pressure on myself to finish books before the month is out, but why? It’s not necessary and the books aren’t going anywhere! I usually say it’s because I want a clean slate moving into each month, but maybe I’m actually just weird!
Enough about me, back to December! I’m really proud of my reading! I read 16 books, but it should also be noted that that includes 1 graphic novel and 2 novellas. I always like to include my page count because I feel like that’s more of a true reflection that book totals. I also had over a week off that let me soak up some quiet time reading while my husband worked.
January will definitely see lower numbers, but I’m thrilled about the choices I’ve got lined up! I’ll be sharing my full TMR later this week, so stay tuned!
