Are you a fan of old school, classic crime stories? Do you enjoy a bit of old Hollywood glitz and glamor? It’s time to put this fun trilogy set in the 1950’s on your radar!

THE BAIT by C.W. Gortner and M.J. Rose is the second installment in this romantic caper trilogy following Ania Thorne and Jerome Curtis. It’s essential in my opinion that you read these books in order, but at novella length that isn’t a hard goal to accomplish. Just like with the first book, THE STEAL, this second story is told through alternating narratives from Ania and Jerome. Set in Venice, the location plays a fun role in the story and the way things unfold. I love the new secondary characters that we’re introduced to in this story. These books are perfect for fans of mystery without the gore and can easily be consumed in one-sitting.

I’ve already marked my calendar for August when the final book of the trilogy, THE HEIST, is set to release!
