The Home Group is a glamorous collection of celebrity members’ clubs dotted across the globe, where the rich and famous can party hard and then crash out in its five-star suites, far from the prying eyes of fans and the media. The most spectacular of all is Island Home – a closely-guarded, ultraluxurious resort, just off the English coast – and its three-day launch party is easily the most coveted A-list invite of the decade. Behind the scenes, tensions are at a breaking point: the ambitious and expensive project has pushed the Home Group’s CEO and his long-suffering team to their absolute limits. All of them have something to hide and their secrets could be revealed at any moment.

I was looking for a thriller that would check the boxes on being a bingeable, drama-filled, entertaining journey and THE CLUB came through with all of that. Who doesn’t love to get a glimpse into the privileged lives of famous people? The Home Club caters specifically to this population, taking care of their every need and request while making sure that everything stays discreet. Lloyd gives readers an insider look into the new Island Home through some of the higher ranking staff, which allows for us to get a glimpse into the drama along with insider knowledge of how the members’ clubs work. The story is ultimately told through alternating narratives that weave together to explain the events of the dramatic and murdery opening of Island Home. THE CLUB is a great popcorn thriller for anyone looking for an escapist read!
