October was all about horror reads for me! If you’ve been here for a bit, you know I read horror all year long, but there’s something special for me about October and what I select to read for the month. I save certain books all year just to read in October and am constantly on the lookout for Halloween specific stories. This year was a fun mix with lighter Halloween reads in the Middle Grade and Young Adult areas. While not everything was a 5 star read, I can easily say there wasn’t a book I didn’t enjoy in this stack!
It’s crazy to me that the total read for this month is so high, but it’s certainly due to graphic novels and shorter mass market paperbacks being included in the mix.
There were a handful of books I wanted to get to in October that didn’t happen, so they’ll be rolling over to my November possibilities stack, which you can already prepare yourself to laugh at. It’s absolutely a monstrous stack! I do have a few days off for the Thanksgiving holiday, so I’m hoping I can camp on the couch and read my heart out.
What was your favorite October read?
A huge thank you to Tor Nightfire, Poisoned Pen Press, Penguin Teen, Razorbill Books, and Grand Central Publishing for my gifted copies!
