January was an interesting month of reading for me filled with mostly mystery/thriller reads and the occasional horror book. I found myself leaning heavily on audiobooks due to a busy work schedule, which was just fine by me! Listening to an audiobook while cleaning, working out, or cooking is extremely relaxing to me. Maybe not to my husband who rolls his eyes when he walks into someone speed reading to me about murder!

I’m honestly shocked that I was successful in reading two of my #23in23 selections: This Might Hurt & The Witch Hunter. I was also able to stick to my goal of reading one Fear Street and one Agatha Christie this month.Ā

Overall I’m satisfied with the mix of new releases and backlist titles made up my reading stack and hope to continue that into February.

A huge thank you to Minotaur Books, Celadon Books, Mulholland Books, Novel Suspects, Books Forward PR, Berkley, and Tor Nightfire for my gifted copies!
