There’s a cottage on a cliff. Gabe and Pippa’s dream home in a sleepy coastal town. But their perfect house hides something sinister. The tall cliffs have become a popular spot for people to end their lives. Night after night Gabe comes to their rescue, literally talking them off the ledge. Until he doesn’t.

When Pippa discovers Gabe knew the victim, the questions spiral…Did the victim jump? Was she pushed?

And would Gabe, the love of Pippa’s life, her soulmate…lie? As the perfect facade of their marriage begins to crack, the deepest and darkest secrets begin to unravel.

The Soulmate is a fun and twisty domestic thriller that makes for a fabulous escapist read! Told through alternating narratives, this story examines Pippa’s relationship and life with her husband, Gabe. I loved getting to know Pippa in her own words, as well as through an outsider. Hepworth adds in subtle twists and turns that heighten the drama to keep the story feeling addictive.

While at its core this story is a thriller, there is also a depth to it that examines the intricacies of relationships and how far people are willing to go for those that they love. I really enjoyed that between all of the secrets and lies there was an deepdive into dysfunctional relationships.

🎧: I listened to this one on audio, which was the perfect compliment to my commute. Highly recommend this format!
