Weekly Reads: July 9th

Hi bookworms! We’re spending part of this week at the beach with my family. I think I was a little overzealous with the amount of reading I would get done while we were here. As much as I love reading, I would never pass over quality time hanging out with my awesome family!

This week I’m planning to read…

First up is my current read, SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER by David Bell. This is my first book by Bell and so far I’m absolutely loving it. The storyline is about a missing daughter and is told over the course of one night with alternating points of view. I love that it’s such a short timeline, but still a really moving story.

I’m also continuing my read of I’LL BE GONE IN THE DARK for my July read along. Our first discussion is this Sunday for Part One. I haven’t covered a lot of pages yet, but what I have read has been moving and just a bit terrifying when you remind yourself that this is all real.

Next on the TBR is IN THE VINES by Shannon Kirk. I’ve seen so many good reviews for this one around the bookstagram/book blogger community and I’m looking forward to finally check it out for myself. Speaking of books with a lot of buzz, this weekend I’m hoping to start BABY TEETH. I have heard this one is quite creepy and will make me second guess every child I see. I can’t wait!
